
Mushroom Masala
Ingredients

1 pound button mushrooms, cleaned and quartered

1 onion, chopped

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon grated ginger

2 tomatoes, chopped

2 green chilies, chopped

1 tablespoon garam masala

1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder

1/2 teaspoon cumin powder

1/2 teaspoon coriander powder

1/2 cup heavy cream or coconut cream

Salt to taste

2 tablespoons oil

Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions

In a large pan, heat the oil over medium heat.

Add the onion, garlic, and ginger and sauté until the onion is translucent.

Add the quartered mushrooms to the pan and cook for 5-7 minutes or until they start to release their moisture and become tender.

Add the chopped tomatoes, green chilies, garam masala, turmeric powder, cumin powder, and coriander powder to the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes.

Reduce the heat to low and stir in the heavy cream or coconut cream.

Season the mushroom masala with salt to taste and let it simmer for 5-7 minutes.

Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot with naan or rice.
